One thing I love about living in Arizona is all the small towns you can visit for perfect weekend getaways. Sure, there are more popular towns like Scottsdale that offer tons of resorts and activities. But I always find joy in the smaller, lesser-known towns.

Superior, Arizona is that town.

Nestled in the heart of Arizona, Superior is a small town that packs a punch with its rich history, stunning landscapes, and welcoming community. If you’re looking for a unique and charming weekend getaway in Arizona, visit Superior Arizona, a truly adorable southwestern town.

Here’s your guide to making the most of your visit.

Day 1: Exploring Nature and History

Morning: Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Begin your second day with a visit to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden. Spread over 323 acres, the arboretum features a diverse range of plants from deserts around the world. Enjoy a peaceful stroll through the gardens, take in the beauty of the various plant collections, and perhaps join a guided tour to learn more about the flora.
